RSS Feeds & Article Views

When you are putting a lot of work into your article writing the one thing you want to get is lots of view for your article. If you are not getting many views you can boost the views your articles get by making good use of RSS feeds.

In fact RSS feeds and article views go hand in hand if you know what you are doing.

RSS stand for Really Simple Syndication and essentially it is a way of delivering content that is changing regularly, such as news sites , blog entries and articles.

You can subscribe to RSS feeds, and when you do that you are actually telling that feed to let you know when that sites adds new content. It is almost like getting a email to notify you but it also contains a brief summary of whats been added.

If you want to start doing this you will need to get a RSS reader and the best place to start with is Google Reader.

What we are interested in here though, is how to use RSS to increase article views.

For example: Using ezinearticles.com you would log in to your account and go to your expert author page where you will have all your articles listed. This is what my RSS URL would look like

http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Garry_Booton

Right next to the header on the page that mentions your name and your author status, you will find an “RSS icon” If you click on the icon it will take you to the URL for your articles that you have posted.
The way to help you get more views is to take your RSS url and submit it to a number of free RSS directories available that you can find on the internet. This will give you 100′s of links pointing to your articles in no time.
This will also bring a lot more people to your articles and therefore increase your views. As you can see RSS feeds and article views are linked and if you make use of RSS feeds wisely this will increase the exposure your articles get.
To help get you started here is a list of just some of the article directories you can post your RSS feed for your articles to.

RSS is a great way to put your article “out there”. I’ve set up RSS for my website not even a week ago and it has increased the traffic which automatically means article views significally. RSS is a must if you’re an article writer.

i havent tried RSS feeds and i’m not sure how exactly they work. i’ve always had problems getting more people to view my articles and it’s become almost like a mission impossible for me. this article was a great help but can you tell me does it really work? i did hear people talking about RSS but as i said, i’ve never tried it before and woudl like to know a little more about it.

@mell: Yes, RSS feeds do work and they work wonders. The author of this article did a good job explaining how it works and how you can benefit from it.
I have not seen anything work as good as RSS feeds. What I usually do is submit my articles to do-follow directories to get some quality backlinks and content views.

I agree with everything being said here. Many people have come to me asking about RSS and do they work. I would advise everyone to set them up. There is no better way to get people to notice you and your articles. What you have to realize is that it can be a tedious work at first, submitting all your articles and getting more viewers but once it kicks off, people will be coming to your site on their own (that is if the content is interesting and appealing of course). You just have to get them interested in what you have to say.

As there are a few people that have contacted me regarding RSS feeds and how to make good use of them. I will contacted a very good friend of mine who knows all about RSS feeds and how to use them to maximise your articles exposure, and ask him to write a post for the blog explaining all about RSS feedd. So watch this space as they tend to say!
