Article marketing is by far the best method to generate traffic to web sites or blogs for beginners, or people new to internet marketing.
There is however certain article marketing secrets you need to be aware of if you want to be successful at writing articles, and you want to have your articles receive a lot of views.
Practice: The more articles you write the easier it will become. Do not try to over complicate it. Tell your reader what you are going to explain to them, explain it to them, and then tell them what you have explained to them.
Keyword Research: Carrying out the correct keyword research for your articles will not only increase the views you get, but it can almost guarantee your articles will get on to the front page of Google for the keyword you chose.
Selecting the Correct Title: Selecting the correct title can be the difference between receiving only a couple of views and receiving thousands of views. You have to grab your reader with your title, fail to do this then you are wasting your time.
Resource Box: Your resource box is as important as they initial keyword research you do before writing your article. You need to make sure that you make every reader of your article want to click on the link in your resource box. Try to make the end of your article automatically flow into your resource box. By doing this it will make your resource box seem as it is part of the article and not completely separate from it.
Article Submissions: Which sites you submit your article to is very important. To get maximum results just select the top 10 – 15 article sites, but make ezinearticles.com the one you post your article to first. Once your article is live on ezinearticles there is nothing stopping you from posting the same article to all the other articles sites.

Key Word Research For Articles
When creating an article you need to do keyword research so that you can help your article to find its way on to the front page of Google. If you are still using the same method for keyword research as you use to find out if a niche is profitable, or for finding a keyword specific domain name for your site, I have some startling news for you.
Finding a good domain name or keyword research for a niche, is completely different than writing an article.
Therefore it makes sense that keyword research for article marketing needs to be done differently.
You need to find keywords for the the topic that you are promoting using articles, and you need to find thousands of these keywords. You can do this by using the Googke Adwords Keyword Tool.
If you find keywords that are getting hundreds of thousands of searches, you need to take that keyword and enter it in to the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and dig deeper for more keywords
You will need to set up an excel sheet to keep the list of keywords you find. You will then need to find if any articles on ezinearticles.com rank in the top 5 results of Google, for any of the keywords you have found.
If you use firefox browser then you will want to download SEOquake. This is an add on for firefox aand will help you to analyse ezine artticles that are ranking in Google.
Once you have installes SEOQuake type into Google search
site:ezinearticles.com KEYWORD (notice that you do not use any quote marks)
You need to look at the top 10 results for each keyword and you need to look at the articles and see how many back links are pointing to each article.
You will want to find articles that rank in the top 5 of Google that are getting good search volumes for that keyword, and that have few back links. You also need to check how many views each article is getting.
With a little work on articles that match this criteria you can almost make sure that your articles will appear high up in Google ranking and find themselves on page one for that specific keyword.

Getting Even More Traffic From Your Articles
The more traffic you can get from your articles the better. This means that you need more people to read them and there are a few simple ways you can do this.
One method you can use is to purchase traffic and send it to the URL of one of your articles. Although this is a little black hat you can bet that other marketers are doing this already.
The trick to doing this is to make sure the traffic looks normal. It is no use having an article that has hardly been read and then get 2,000 views in one day.
When you purchase your traffic make sure that you can control or set how many visitors are sent to your article and slowly build up the visits over time.
This will cause your article to be listed in the most read articles section of ezinearticles and should get you a lot more traffic.

Making More Money From Your Articles
In response to all your emails asking me to show you other ways to make money from your articles I have done just that in this post.
Create a Product
Take all your articles on one subject or niche and pull out the best 10 – 20 tips you have given in your articles and write more in depth information regarding each tip.
You then take each of those expanded tips and use them as chapters in a report, or as they used to be known, an ebook. You now have a product you can sell.
You can record yourself talking about each chapter. You can use a free voice recorder such as audacity. You now have an audio or mp3 download to add to your report, and therefore allowing you to set the sale price higher.
You can then take it to the next level and use screen capture video program such as CamStudio which is free to download and use. CamStudio is like a cheap cousin of camtasia, but it does the job.
Just set up CamStudio to record your computer screen as you go through each of the steps in each of the chapters of your ebook and you now have a product that has 10 – 20 videos so the price you can sell it for increases.
You now have the choice to sell this as one product, or keep them as 3 separate products.
There is nothing stopping you from turning the course you have put together in to a physical product that can be mailed out to customers so that they get 10 – 20 DVD’s, a bound report and audio cd’s. This is where you can really set a high price.
Don’t forget that you can also sell these products on the Warrior forums as a WSO, but you are going to have to reduce the price to an acceptable one for the WSO. The bonus is that you will not have to worry marketing this on the warrior forums, as you will have a hungry market already there.
There are a number of companies on the Internet that will put your videos onto DVD and your audio onto cd’s, and there are companies that can take your report and turn it into a report complete with a professional looking cover.
Another way to make money from your articles is to put all your articles for each niche into separate folders. Then put all those folders into a zipped folder. You now have a PLR article pack that you can sell, or you can use it as a giveaway to use in a giveaway event, or sell it on Warrior as a WSO.
Article Spinning
There tends to be a divided camp when it comes to article spinning. On the one hand you have those that believe the only way to create another article from the original one is to rewrite it completely, and the other group have no problem with respinning an article using an article spinner.
Article spinners work on the basis of replacing words in the article with similar but different words. Automatic spinners are available where you paste your article into them and they will automatically produce 100′s of articles from the original one.
I have found the 100% automatic article spinners to be unreliable. Most will create articles for you, but you will find that the articles do not make sense when you read them.
There are article spinners that do allow you complete controll over what words or even sentences are replaced with similar words or sentences. these are a much more reliable way to spin an article.
If you are using article spinners, to create a fully respun article that you can post on to an article site as a completely different article to the original one you would have to get above a 40% rewrite.
This means that 40% of the article has been altered. To achieve this you are going to need to change the title and possibly some of the keywords as well.
Article spinning does allow you to create 50 articles very quickly and if you are just looking to get as many people as possible to read your article then that is fine, but if you are looking to use articles as a way to help your seo then you need to be rewriting the articles yourself.
You can use a combination of both methods by using an article spinner to create articles that you then submit to hundreds of lower ranked article sites using a automatic article submitter, and for the higher ranked article sites such as ezine articles and Go articles, you can rewrite the articles yourself.
As I have stated before article marketing is a numbers game, but on the other hand 1 quality article that has hundreds of people reading it is much better than 10 articles that are read by only a couple of people.
There are no hard and fast rules and you do have to find what works best for you and for the niche you are involved with. If one method does not work then try another one. Internet marketing is all about trying different strategies until you find one that works for you.
Making Money From Your Articles
If you are using articles to market your site or affiliate products, which I assume you are because you are reading this, then you are probably making one of the mistakes most articles marketers make, and I include myself in that group as well.
Just like everyone else I wrote articles, made sure they were keyword rich, I then posted them on articles sites and left them to drive traffic to my sites.
What I was missing out on was the money I could make from my articles.
If you was to take all the bullet points and the good bits of advice you gave people in your articles and then restructured it into a PDF document, you now have a $27 product you could sell.
You could on the other hand give that product away free to anyone that wants it and use the viral marketing from that free ebook to generate more traffic to your sales pages or products.
You could even record yourself reading the chapters of the ebook and going into a bit more details and add that to your product as an mp3 download. You now have a product that could be worth $47.
You see how easy it is now to make money from your articles, but I want to share with you a much easier and quicker way to make money directly from your articles.
If you go to the Warrior forums you will see the warrior offers or WSO. This is where warriors offer unique products to other warriors at a very low price.
All you have to do is wait until you have 20 or 30 articles that you have wrote yourself, put them into a file and then zip the file. You upload the zip file to your hosting account and advertise the zip file of unique PLR articles as a WSO.
If you offer your WSO at just $7 and sell to 10 warriors that is an easy $70 you have made.
Once your offer slips off the end of page 2 of WOS offers you are then allowed to bump it back up to number one spot again. You can keep doing this until you stop making sales and by that time I am sure you will have another batch of articles to offer as another offer to the warriors.
Many warriors have made thousands of dollars just through WSO’s. This really is a very simple and straight forward way to make some easy money.
Getting The Most From Your Articles
Many people will go to the trouble of creating a very good article, making sure it is keyword rich, and that it contains really useful content and then just post it on to an article site and forget about it.
This is a real waste of a good article as there are many ways you can use to get more from that same article.
You can use the article and either post it as it is as content for your site or you could use it as a post on your own blog.
Do not forget to link to articles from your site or blog to the articles you have posted on ezine articles or any other article site. Remember more back links is great for SEO and site ranking.
With a little effort you can actually get your article to appear in the section of most read article on ezine articles. If it appears in that section you are going to pick up even more views and traffic. Some marketers will hope that their articles appear in the most read section and the really smart ones make it appear in the most read section.
The way to make it appear in the most read section is very simple, you just drive targetted traffic to your article. You pay for traffic to be sent to your article, but you have to be a bit careful how you do it.
If 1500 visitors all targeted your article in one day then you can be sure ezine articles will realise something is amiss. You need to find a company that will send targeted traffic to the URL for your article, but you need to limit the views per day that your article is getting to around 250 – 300 and no more.
Your article then should appear in the section for most viewed article for that specific category, which should result in you getting more traffic.
There are lots of techniques you can use to make the most of your articles and article writing. How Many Articles Should I Write?
Article marketing is a numbers game, the more article you write and post the more traffic you should be able to get. If this is going to be your only source of marketing then you need to be writing at least 5 articles per day, and the articles need to be keyword optimized.

If you are using article writing to promote affiliate products then you need to keep track of the number of articles you are writing. Many people choose a product to sell as an affiliate and just stick to that one product.
To make this more effective what you need to be doing is choosing maybe 5 products that you think are worth while, and that do have some track record of selling. To explain the whole process of selecting products to sell as an affiliate is beyond the scope of this post or site.
Once you have chosen 5 products and you have decided you are going to use article marketing to drive customers to the products, you need to make sure you do not spend weeks or even months writing articles for a product that does not sell.
Each product you are selling you should look to produce at least 30 articles and post them to article sites. If you have not seen a sale after 30 articles then it may be worth considering trying another product or looking at your article marketing campaign and see if there is a way of increasing the views your articles are getting.
This is why I mentioned that you need to select about 5 products to begin with. You then write 30 articles for each product. If you have selected the right product and used correct keyword research then you should see some sales.
If you find 0ne or two of the products are selling well you would then just concentrate on those products and write more articles around the keywords for those products.
You then replace the products that have not sold with different products and start the whole process over again. This is known as bum marketing, as it relies on not spending any money on products, web sites or advertising.

Automatic Article Submitters
Writing articles and then submitting them to different article directories as we know can be very time consuming. This is especially true if you are writing and posting 5 articles per day to the top 10 or even the top 20 article sites.
A way of saving time is to use an automatic article submitter, but do they work?
The answer to this is yes and no, although automatic article submitters will post your article to hundreds of article sites at the push of a button, are these hundreds of article sites worth posting on?
What you will find is that most automatic article submitters do not submit to the top 10 or 15 article sites. This is because the top article sites have software that does not allow automatic submissions.
There are 2 argument’s to whether it is worth posting to only the top 20 article sites. One camp argue that as the top article sites will appear on the first and second pages of google, and that no one searching for an article is going to go further than the first 2 or 3 pages of google, which does make sense.
On the other hand submitting to hundreds of article sites at the push of a button does mean that your article has the possibility of being read by many more people.
To be honest I use both methods and my arguement is, why miss out on your articles being read and losing traffic for your site for the sake of pushing the button. I tend to use both methods by posting to the top 20 article sites using a semi automatic submitter, and then posting to hundreds of sites using a fully automatic submitter.

One rule I would advise anyone to follow when using automatic article submitters is to not use them to post to ezinearticles. Ezinearticles is still the most respected article site on the Internet so treat it with a bit of respect.
Make The Most of Your Resource Box
When writing articles and using them to promote your site or web page you have to make the most of the resource box.
The resource box is where you get the chance to place the URL that will link the article you have written to your site. This is where you are going to get your traffic from, and hopefully your sales.
If you go to any article site and start reading some of the articles posted there it will not take you long to come across well written articles with plenty of good content, but when you get to the bottom of the article it will say something like “learn more by visiting http://theirdomain.com”
The author has probably spent a lot of time finding and using great keywords, and then taken the time to write a really good article, only to waste all of that effort in not using his or her resource box to good effect.
The resource box is your one chance to get the reader to your site so do not waste that opportunity. Instead of saying “visit www.mysite.com” you need to be more creative.
Here are just some of the examples that you could use.
“many marketers are still wasting a lot of time with their article marketing, don’t be one of them, join the ones that are maximising their article marketing at http://learningarticlemarketing.com”
or if you are in the fitness niche, how about
“we all know that staying fit takes a bit of effort but don’t be one of those that wastes all that effort by making the same silly mistakes time and time again. Join the intelligent ones at www.yoursite.com”
With both of the examples I have just shown you I have done 2 things I have highlighted a possible thought that they may be having i.e. “am I doing it the right way” and secondly I have given them the option to check if they could be doing things better by visiting the link.
Go and read the 2 examples again, wouldn’t you be curios to see if you was doing things right and feel a compulsion to check, just to make sure? I know I would.
